Es handelt sich um einen der beiden oberen Längsbalken eines Kenotaphes, der ursprünglich im Imamzadeh Tahir wa Mutahhir in Hazarkhal, Mazandaran stand (siehe dort).

Die Inschrift lautet (nach Aukt.Kat. Christie's London, 26.4.1994, lot 331): "bistun(?) Khallada Allah ta'ala sultanatahu ila yawm al-din ... hadha al-sanduq al-marqad." Es wird vermutet, daß dieser Teil sich auf den Auftraggeber bezieht. Die Inschrift stimmt exakt überein mit den Angaben, die Sotudeh (III, 192) in Bezug auf den Kenotaph für Tahir wa Mutahhir im Imamzadeh in Hazarkhal (dat. 804 H./ 1401) macht.
