Es sich um die Schmalseite eines Kenotaphs, die eine Dreiteilung aufweiset: ein großes Mittelfeld wird von zwei sehr schmalen, hochrechteckigen Feldern gerahmt. Das fast quadratische Mittelfeld weist einen geometrischen Dekor auf, der auf einem 8-strahligen Stern mit umgebenden Hexagonen (Sechsecken) fusst.

Eine fast identische Holzarbeit (identische Masse, gleiche Inschrift was Stil & Größe anbelangt) befindet sich in Doha, MIA, WW.112, allerdings ist dort der Name einer anderen Grabinhaberin genannt.

The wooden panel made up one of the narrow sides of a large, box-shaped structure, called a sanduq, that was placed over a grave as a monument to the deceased. Both the central section’s polygon panels and the inscription bands were masterfully carved. Entwined foliage on these bands forms the background for a cursive inscription that flows in great, thick letters, as if it had been squeezed from a tube. The script is linked with the foliage by tendrils that wind up and down around the letters, creating a complicated structure of interwoven layers. (Source Website Museum)

Die Inschrift enthält kein Datum, nennt aber die Verstorbene: Bikra, Tochter von Ishaq, Sohn des Mardawij (Übersetzung David Coll.) Die Datierung ist unklar, die David Coll. gibt um 1100 an, d.h. seldschukisch. M.E. kann die Holzarbeit auch später entstanden sein (bis 1. Hälfte 14. Jh.).
